Ok, I don't feel so bad now that I know I'm not the only one paying a ton for insurance. My first bike, '99 250 Ninja was a lot too. I have a perfect driving record. I'm kind of looking forward to the day I turn 25! My ins. will only be half as much then.
Insurance.....arggghhhh.... don't get me started!
Always be sure to check what category the insurer is placing your bike in. If they can't find the correct model -- they'll just grab the "closest appearing" one.
I've had riding buddies with standard, upright street bikes classified as RR-crotch-rockets. The difference between the two categories was $1100 ....!!
Watch 'em like a hawk....and always double-check their work and your policies.
