I could not make the Snorkel fit with my KDX easily. First, the stock fender got in the way. Next, the exhaust-side subframe tube was in the way and had to be trimmed. After I ordered and installed an MX rear fender, I noticed that the Snorkel was jammed up against the rear fender and I knew that riding would cause a hole to occur in the Snorkel where it contacted the fender. And when I tried riding with it, my bike poured blue smoke indicating a need for rejetting. I punted and sent it back.
I really wanted to use the Snorkel because I want my bike to be as quiet as possible, but the Snorkel just wasn't a slamdunk fit with my KDX. Syd Gearing, creator of the Snorkel, told me that he hasn't done any testing with the KDX but plans to after my difficulties. For what it is worth, Syd is a great guy to work with and very flexible with customer service. You might want to contact him and discuss possible fitment issues with your particular bike before you order.
If he ever figures out how to make it work with a KDX, or if I get a different bike anytime soon, I will order it again.
