one question: will there be any practice time before the saturday mx races or will the riders race "cold"?

I should have spelled that out... sorry. Practice starts at 8:00 am. Each class/gate (except C) gets a 20-minute session (A/Pro and B, then Ladies A/B, etc, will be in the same session). We will determine how many sessions for the C class when we see how many are in that class. Hopefully, we're done with practice by 10:30. C Riders need to be at the gate at 10:45. Exact times will be posted prior to Saturday.

About the qualifiers. We always have a LOT of C riders, so we run as many qualifiers (3 laps) as we need to get to a 40 man gate (I'm guessing 3?) . The qualifier and the "C main" are considered Moto 1 (3 laps) and Moto 2: the "Main" (5 Laps) and scored as usual.

B, A/Pro, 7 laps, 2 motos
Bikes With Lights (factory) 5 laps, 2 motos
Ladies A/B, Jr MX (9 & Under, Jr (10 - 14yrs) 5 laps, 1 moto
C Class 1-3 lap qualifier & 1-5 lap Moto

Question
Should the two Jr. classes gate together (with 2 drops)?

I think seperate races for the juniors, I don't know if any 50's will be racing, but even with seperate gate drops the 80's would catch up quick. I dunno if 50's and 80's would mix real well. BTW why only one moto?

We're just glad it's done, pretty sure we'll be able to get thru it well.

I did ask a dumb question though... about the Jr. classes. We had decided that the 9 & under class would run on the small track and the 10-14 on the main track. The main track has some stuff WAY too big for the little tykes/bikes ... they'll love the small track though, it's great.

Side note: The infamous "Step-Up" discussed in previous ride reports is now 10 feet taller! Folks, it was huge before. Kris says "It's awesome" :scream: (can't wait to see the fast guys launch) Little bikes don't stand a chance on that one.

Yes, inquiring minds want to know. If they are random, then I actually may get a partner! Anyone seeing me ride before then sure as heck wont want me on their team.

Last year motometal kept telling us he couldn't ride mx, he said he was a woods rider. We decided we would partner up for the HS. After we went into the woods on a ride. He said he didn't want to be my partner. I thought to myself I didn't think I was that slow. He then said you guys are nuts for going that fast in the trees. He then proceeded to ride on the ;) MX track with the best of 'em.
