It's a different world they live in. I guess if they had 2.3 kids, a nice house, big screen TV and a Lexus in the garage it would be different. Then again maybe he needs the gold for the trim on the Lexus? :)

This is the part of the whole deal that bothers me
6 years ago when the Northern Alliance was in power there was chaos in Afghanistan. That is why the people backed the Taliban at first. The Taliban was good thing at first. For the first time in 20 years there was some sense of peace in the region. Then they went of on their distorted version of Islam. The people had relinquished power to them hoping for peace and stability and then they were stuck.

When the Northern alliance was in power the different warlords would fight with each other and try to take over each others territory. To motivate the soldiers the soldiers were allowed to murder and steal the spoils and rape the women. Now I am not talking one or two rapes. Imagine hundreds or thousands publicly being raped in the streets. The warlords made money later by "taxing" /extortion and road tolls.

No I am not pro taliban, quite the opposite. I am irritated that the Northern Alliance is letting the Taliban soldiers surrender and letting them go! I say kill all of them! What the &&*&! They just put on a different hat and hey let them go. Their mentality is still the same! Guys if we lived their we could not ride as it would be seen as idle devils work! Your kids could not play with their toys! You would be killed for giving your child a toy!

As an American I am glad we used the Northern Alliance to beat the Taliban and kept our soldiers out of harms way. As a Muslim I just hope when we are done we dont just walk away again and let the problem start all over. I hope we dont leave the people of Afghanistan in the hands of the Northern Alliance. I assure you the people will be worse off for it. We need to erradicate the extremists! Hey they started it lets finish it! As a human I pray for the people that live in fear constantly not knowing if they are safe, or if their families are safe. I hope we stand by these people now. The Northern Alliance says oh we are sorry and we learned our lessons. This time we will rule better. Is say bull**%T! They see a chance to get a bunch of money from the UN and the US so the corrupt ()*&() are going to play along.

As well the extortion and murders have started again. As well as blood fueds from before. Its like the Hatfields and McCoys, but so much worse. They kill toruture, amputate and rape! No one is safe not even the women the children or the elderly.

I guess I just believe in a warriors code. Some honor in war. Leave the women, children and elderly out of it.

Well enough political stuff.

Now as far as taking the money off of a dead soldier. We have to remember that this is a 4th world country. Yes I said 4th. I have been to third world countried and Afghanisatan in much worse off. The people are poor and hungry.

I remind you that even here in the US back the wild west days or the Civil War times. When a man was killed the first thing off of him were his shoes and his guns. As well as any other valuables. In Afghanistan and other parts of the world its like going back in time. I spent a couple of months in Pakistan 2 years ago. It amazed me at one stop light you will see people in living in 3 different centuries. One guy is in a Benz. (now there is no financing there and the duty on german imports is 200%, so this guy paid 100 grand US for a 30 grand car and he paid cash!!), next there was a horse and buggy and an OX and cart!! Yes this was the family transportation. The horse and buggies are like taxies too. You can flag one down to go somewhere! And then there are the bikes! Little four strokes most 75cc and few no larger than 125 cc cuz gas is 4 us dollars a gallon! I wear to God there are familes of 5 riding on one little bike! Father drives, one kid on the gas tank, Wife in the back side saddle, one kid in the lap and one in her arms! The funny part is they are well off! Cuz they have a motorcyle! AND Pakistan is considered to be a rich nation by the Afghani's.

So if the Afgahani guy loots a dead soldier I am not saying it is right but what is the dead guy gonna do with the stuff? This guys kids are at home crying becasue they are hungry.

I simply do not find humor in digging the gold out of a dead mans teeth.

Yep, he would blow me away and laugh, if I didn't get him first. Should I get him first, I would neither laugh nor cry, but he could keep his gold.

It's probably just that all my life that (digging the gold out of a dead man's teeth) was used to describe the lowest, most worthless, thieving ******* living. So it's just me:confused:

I said it was used to DESCRIBE.

I grew up hearing lots of little phrases like that,some were funny, some were not. no big deal

If it were my wife and children starving in a cave, some of which misery was brought on by the people the gunman supported, I'd dig the gold from his teeth too, and the money from his pockets, and the shoes from his feet.....
