While they might not be all that bad...I'd guess that MOST bottom shock bearings are toast.

I used to take my linkage apart 3-4 times a year for maintenance...and I still had to replace that bearing each time.

...until I started using a good grease. Well...a REAL good grease (parasyn 70). Now called hydrosyn 70 if I recall correctly what jeff (farmerj) told me...just last week.

I do the linkage once a year and I have never had to replace any bearings. I use Bel-Ray marine. 3-4 times a year? How much do you ride??

At the time, every weekend..sometimes 40 miles, sometimes 70+.

Actually, sometimes twice on weekends.

There was 'practice' then 'on any sunday.' ;)
