My brother used to have one of those and he would take me out riding on it...if I weren't picking up an 07 XR650L tomorrow evening I'd bid $3000 myself on it

That is an amazing restoration, but I am surprised it is selling for that high. There must be a few wealthy guys with a very strong sentimental attachment to that bike.

That is the first motorcycle I ever rode. It was a TS250. I think it was identical, except green? Maybe a '74?
Very nice example that one in the pictures.

My first bike was a '73 Suzuki TC100. I paid $280 for it in 1976. If I was rich I'd love to have another one just for grins, but no way I'd ever pay anywhere close to $4,300!

My first new bike was an '84 KDX200. I think it was $1,850 OTD. Same deal - it would be cool to have a perfectly restored one, but not for $4,300+!

Pred - I agree... VERY marginal bike for a balistic amount of money! What about the Q50's going for 4k all day long!!
Atleast my Husky's/Maico's typically have good qaulity.
