My old mouse finally died. What a POS! I've only had it for three years...

What's the latest and greatest in mousedom? I want something zoomy, but I don't need one with a laser light show or a can opener included. I'd like to keep it around $50 or less.

Anybody have any recommendations?

I must concur. The optical wheelmouse is the, er, cat's meow (? :think ?)

I'm coming up on year two with the Microsoft Optical-super-duper-5 button-LED sporting-wheel mouse! It still works as well as the day I plugged it in. I don't miss cleaning mouse wheels one bit.

I've got plenty of mice and they're FREE! :) Comes with fur for ease of handling. Only catch is it's not the wheel/ball you need to worry about cleaning up.
