The 250E is a bit softer down low and you'll find yourself working the gears and clutch a bit more than the 300. The 250E wins the magazine enduro bike shootout year after year after year and I love mine. Both are easy bikes to go fast on and, like most KTMs, the faster you go, the more they like it.
