What is a good tire pressure for Florida sand? How about Georgia clay? Should I change the pressure if it is wet?

I run 12 to 15lbs with a little less in the rear than the front both on sand and clay. I should probably go down to 10 on the rear in sand though.

Hey,
I definitely run about 10 in my tires in the sand. Especially on the front. Too much pressure and the front end will skate around and dive. Good luck.

10-11 in the soft stuff really helps the tires bite. Just be sure to check them before the next weekend's ride. The front will lose a few pounds and pinch flats on roots/rocks/logs are real easy at 8 pounds.

Sand/mud: 6-8
soft-medium dirt: 10
rocks: 12-14

I use extra heavy duty innertubes.

I really think most people run too much air. Let some out and you'll see a big difference in the amount you both, deflect and wash out.

Ill disagree,
You may get away with low pressure in sand and mud, but when riding thru rocks at speed I think at least 15 lbs is needed.

At the Montrose Enduro here in Colo. for example, a ton of people were getting front flats and I suspect it was from too low of pressure. Were not talking about a few rocks on the trail, were talking there might be a little dirt around some of the rocks. I would rather feel more confident of not getting a flat than a little better responce from the front end. I run moose hvy duty tubes with slime, never had one go flat yet.

Florida sand - I'm liking about 9 psi. Forgot and put in 12 at my last enduro and could really tell the difference. Let a little out - much better.

Just did 590 miles in the rocks of SW Texas and central Mexico in the past week. I ran 15 front and rear and had no flats.

Dual sporting and AA race pace are two different things; most of the fast guys run bib mousses in the rocks when the championship is on the line.
