Tire size conversion chart?

Does anyone have a tire size conversion chart?

I need to get some new skins for my old 1980 TT 250.
It still have the stock tires on it, which is 5.10x17 in the rear and 3.00x21 in the front.

Does a 5.10x17 convert to a 120/100x17, or something like that?

I need to get the bike ready for rites of spring, as I'm trying to bring my Dad along and he just have a DRZ650 (not much fun on the trails)

HI Scott!!
I looked up your bike in my Marshall book and yeppers, that is indeed the exact replacement size for your bike - you hit the conversion right on the money!!!!
You didnt ask but Chapparal-racing.com (sp?) is a GREAT place to order from - good prices and they dont beat you up real bad on shipping!!! :cool:
If that were my Yammie I would be trying to squeeze that 760 Chen sheng on her!! I ran that tire in 5.60 x 17 and x 18 for years and they are awesome woods tires!!! I even bought a brand new one for an XL250 Honda back in the early 80's and had to cut the nobs a little to get it to clear the swingarm.. I know that sounds radical but that bike would climb walls when I got done with it!!!

I hate Chapparal..... Have had nothing but bad luck with them the few times I have ordered from them.

I have much MUCH better luck with www.rockymountainmc.com There online ordering is top notch. You can see if they have your stuff in stock from there site.

Naw, you don't need to ruff him up or anything. ;)

I think I can get him to go. I just need to get the TT ready for the trails so he can use it. If he comes, Grandpa should come too.

I will also be bringing my buddy Ron again this year, and possibly another friend.

Ron and I had a blast at Rites last year!

I started on him yesterday :blah: I told him he should bring south fork (that big camper) and grandpa. Dave should try out Sundays dual sport ride with his 650!

The problem I'm running into is trying to find a 17" rear that is for soft terrain. :bang:

I can get the stock tire (Bridgestone M22 Intermediate/hard pack) from throttlehead for $48.99

Woodsy - I couldn't find the cheng shin 760 you were talking about.

The tire is actually a C760 according to Chaparral...
