B Bschultz Member Jul 14, 2009 2 0 Jul 14, 2009 #1 I bought this transmission fluid from the honda shop in town Bel-Ray Gear Saver Motorcycle Transmission Oil 80W The guy there said it would work but when reading the back it says for 2 strokes. Is it the wrong stuff?

If it's a shared system where the engine oil also lubricates the transmission (Yamaha YZF, older XRs etc) , then this is not the correct oil.
