I searched and couldn't find anything to answer my question. I am knew to bike maintenance, so it is probably a dumb question. I took the bike to the dealer to do its first service and I just performed my first self performed oil change and air filter cleaning and oiling. It all went pretty smooth. I just followed the directions in the repair manual. I also adjusted my chain which went well. My question is first on adjusting the valves? In the manual it states to use some special tool to adjust the valves. The question is do I really need the special tool to adjust the valves? Is there some other way to do it?
