What is your favorite brand?

Are they heavy duty tubes?

So, do you believe in slime?

Rear: Bridgestone Ultra H/D
Front IRC H/D, or Michelin insert.

No slime. I think it works well, I just don't use it.

Tony,
If you really want to be trick...check these out:
http://www.tireballs.com/

Wade Summers (Scott Summers' Dad) invented this nifty little arrangement.
They are very expensive (~$265 a tire??) and require a special tool that they provide to mount them.
They weigh less than a heavy duty tube.
I have had the whole thing explained to me, and when I heard the theory behind them and the traction factor, and how tires react to lateral forces, I was fairly well sold that these items are the way to go. I know that they have fallen into the ATV and hard core single tracker catagory, but when they give the spiel about traction, it lends itself to motocross perfectly.

I won't be buying them...more than likely ever...but I do think they are the berries.

The Tubes? I can't believe you would even joke about them. I've seen guys like you, driving down the Interstate jamming the Air Drums. Rocking the Air Guitar, flipping the hang loose sign. Now I now what you guys are really listening to :aj:

I like the Bridgestone Ultra Heavy Duty Tubes.
And the Tubes.

I alway knew Pred was on the cutting edge of reality, but how in the world did the edge find it's way all the way to Taterland? I have never heard of The Tubes. Are they a country band I have missed?

In any case, thanks for the input.

My XR650R has heavy duty tubes and Maxxis IT Skins front and rear. Last weekend I rode in the deserts of west Texas and got my first flat (on the front) in years. We found the offending thorn and pulled it out. It was an inch long and about 1/8 inch diamerter at the base where it broke off.

We pulled it out and and found 5 more within one foot of the circumference of the tire and quit counting. I was bummed at the flat, but elated at the fact that the slime had stopped at least five more leaks before it couldn't do it's job.

The end result ... I was tired and we were only 50 miles (25 dirt and 25 slab) from the motel, so I rode it in on the flat. A buddy clocked me at 84MPH at one point, but I don't trust his speedometer.

Now I have to get a new tube and I haven't bought one in a long time!

FWIW, I have heard the tire goo by John Deere is better than slime.

Again ... thanks for the input!

Heavy duty tubes, not sure what brand. I definitely believe in slime, works wonders for trail riding/racing. Only thing is I make sure if the tires are getting slimed them I don't install them because it's a pain in the rear.
