Hello, I recently got a Suzuki RM-Z 250 2005mod to ride on roads and in the woods. on the roads I would like it to have more power at the top then it currently has, that's why I want to turbo charge it.

I do know a whole lot about two stokes and porting ETC but that does not help me to find a turbo that can be easily fitted on a dirt bike.

Does anyone know anything about this? or have anyone here tried it?
I am interested in buying a turbo but I don't want to use to much money on it. just let me know anything that srikes your head when you read this.

And I would also be interested in the amount of power I could get out of it without blasting my crank case :P

I will put in more questions and speculations once I have gotten some replies. It will be tested in the dyno if i can get a turbo.

um, yeah. Don't. If you want more top end, get something bigger. The earlier RM-Z 250s were notoriously unreliable, and adding a turbo the the heap will only make it worse.

I have not had any trouble with it yet. And if it fails I'l just sell it cheap and get a 450.
I really want to ride a dirt bike with a turbo on, Even if it fails horribly.
How much power increase would you predict?

You may enquire at deist safety equipment( Glendale Ca.) regarding a kevlar/ ballistic nylon containment bag to place over the parts that can go boom. Cheap insurance....

Forget the turbo--get an old gmc blower off the top of an old supercharged diesel truck. Turbo's have some bottom end lag anyway, and supercharged engines have instant throttle response when they're geared right. Maybe you could mount the blower on the front number plate so it will have a ram air affect at high speeds. I think you can also use nitrous with a blower, but that may be pushing the envelope a bit. And besides, you don't want the laughing gas to accidently spray you in the face when you're at speed.

You know, I'd probably just get a 450.
