Typical AC Stator Voltage During Kick? '80 Husky

I've got an '80 Husky 250 OR with Motoplat stator. During riding, the backing plate timing bolts loosened and the bike quit. The stator apparently cracked a bit but still puts out about 12 Volts AC and 1.5 Volts DC during kick. Anyone know if this is right? Can you have a bad stator with partial voltage? I replaced my coil with a PVL when the bike died assuming it was the coil but I still can't get a spark.:(

ask for Jim L. he is the dirtbike guy (husky,ktm,husaberg,used to handle penton! Jim K is the streetbike guy (ducati, mv agusta, cagiva. they have a large parts inventory and are very knowledgeable on old bikes.
