I just purchased a 1998 kx 250, and it has v-force 3 reeds on it, what are these suppose to have improved, unfortunately i have never experienced the bike stock.

From what I understand they will provide a better fuel/air mixture thereby increasing performance across the entire rpm range. I've got friends that swear by them but I havent taken the plunge yet.

V-Force reeds have more petals than stock. I have a set in my 02 rm250. They tend to give better throttle response and a longer, smoother power band.

I swapped a pair into my bike for a while and then put the carbon fiber ones back in. I couldn't tell a difference.

I got some recently for $300 AUS.

Make a difference - yes
Worth the money - no way

I don't regret my buy because I ride a 125 and already have an exhaust system so this was the next best thing on the list, besides porting but that makes the bike less reliable, these are meant to make it more reliable.
