The staging area now has signs on Winnemucca Ranch road, but here is a quick recap. Pyramid highway - north about 20 miles from Sparks (McCarran/Pyramid intersection), to Winnemucca Ranch Road (road sign on left 200 yards before road) turn left, Drive 4.5 miles on pavement (which will end) ~1 mile on dirt, turn left at the Moonrocks staging area sign. You will see HUGE stacks of hay on your right just before the left onto the Moonrocks road. Maybe 1/2 mile to the staging area. You cannot miss it. It is right in front of the Moonrocks on your right.

Pinenut, my 3 year old rides a 50, fresh off the training wheels, not ready for the track yet. My youngest turns 2 sunday, so no ride then. I'm shooting for saturday, but I'm riding two days this weekend so.... If I don't hook up saturday, shoot me an e-mail and let me know how it was. KEITHSERPA@AOL.COM

Strick, it's probably a good time to remind people that this is winter and it is Reno. And that we could be in the 20s and snowing a bit or it could be 50 and sunny. I believe we had both last year....<grin>

Either way, everybody should be preparing for all kinds of weather/riding.
You can't put it on if you don't bring it along....!

Gettin' excited...! - Randy B.

REMINDER

Just like last year Reno Motor Sports is offering all DRN attendees 10% off all parts, equipment, accessories, and clothing (excluding tires). Just tell them you are here with Dirtrider.net (not DRN) to get the discount. Or you could also mention 'Strick'

I have the woods gearing on our bikes now, are we going to be going over 60mph? Been thinking about swapping to the baja set-up.

60 is fast enough. There are a couple of spots where an advanced rider might ride 70 or so, but 2 or 3 times the whole weekend. We are going to be riding a lot of single track, washes, ravines, etc. I would not go to the extra effort, if you just have to change it back when you get home. My gearing has been dropped tremendously: 13/52 from 14/50 and I have no issues on top.

Just get here and ride, your gearing will be fine. See you soon!

I guess I better leave the 500 at home & bring the XR250.... Wouldn't want to roost EXC380man. Hmm, wonder if I can get a new tire for the KX today :aj:

Ha, your just jealous

If I remember right it was a mere 400/426 that roughed you up pretty good. If you can't hand the power of the big YZ's ride a blue and yellow bike. :)

Just bring your optional gearing with you.
Moon rocks has tight dez canyons & climbs that are quite enjoyable with norcal woods gearing.

I've currently got 13/52 on a ktm 440 exc. I am bringing a 14th counter incase I feel too low.
