I think its most important on barrier shocks . I saw a Custom Axis/Penske shock blow the reservoir cap across the track at a quad race one day after the rider hit a G out really fast, it probably had too much oil .Those older 87 type Showa shocks are alot like the TRX 400Ex quad shock .
