I have been running nothing but C-12 in my 03 Cr250R since i bought it last september. I have been thinking of trying out some MR8 just to see if the bike runs any better with 112 octane fuel. Anyone using this fuel or have any thoughts about it? I Would problably have to jet the bike to the richer side for the increase in octane? Thanks in advance

duck........ :)
Seriously. Check some other posts on fuel. You will learn octane means squat.

MR2 is better or the new MRX1 (whatever). MR2 has plenty of octane for a CR unless you have made serious mods.

MR8 is not the appropriate fuel to run in the CR250. C12 or MR2 are much better choices.

Yep! It's a case of more is not always better. The MR-2 is a much better choice as Rich has said. I'd like to try the new MRX01 one of these days and see how it compares to the MR-2.

i Figured the guy where i buy my race fuel was just trying to make a sale!!! I have to find another place to get C-12 or whichever i chose to run cause all he's going to be selling is MR8 from now on. I Talked to a guy at the local sunoco station an they sell MX-114. Specifically designed for 2 stroke engines.
this stuff looks no better to me?
