Allright I'm getting pissed.

I've been waiting for my engine to be rebuilt now since Dec. 28th!!!!:scream:

Instead of doing it myself. I decieded to have a local Yanmaha/ Kawi Shop do it(since it was a four stroke and I've only done 2 strokes) they could also set the valves and do the normal tune up stuff.

They told me it'd take about a week. OK with me.
I've callled each week and keep hearing were waiting for the parts.

Finally last week the head shop guy tells me as his excuse, it's got a big bore kit in it. It took me a while to find out which piston you needed.

I reply.... I told you it had a stroker big bore kit in it when I dropped it off. 5 mins on the phone with me/ them and it's would've been done. no response from him. He said there ordered and they'll be here.

Well that was last week. Stroker has the parts in stock and are about 1 hour away. Toady 5 days later, this dealer still does not have the parts. :think

Needless to say they've lost my business and I was looking to buy a new bike. Definately not from them.

I don't want to upset them to much as I want the job done right. but come on. If you can't do it just say so.

It depends on what you mean fully rebuild.

On two stroke are you just asking about the top end, without cylinder boring,or top and bottom.

Same question on 4 stroke, plus do you need new valves, timeing chain, cam? All are variables.

Also do do the work, or have someone do it or some of it.

As for my 4 stoke: I need piston, rings, wrist pin, clips, gaskets, plus 2 new valves. and I already had an oversize bore in it.

Due to the extra cost of the oversize parts. the parts totaled $200.00 and $300.00 for labor (5 hours) I brought the entire bike into the dealer and there dialing it all in.

If your talking 2 stroke and just need a top end (again no cylinder boring), I''ve done the work myself(it's pretty easy) depending on the bike the parts will be between $120.00 - $200.00.

All this is American, so I'll let you do the math. it's about 65% exchange rate last time I checked $1.00 canadian= $ .65 U.S.
