OK, here's the story. I was recently involved in a very slight accident lately on my dirtbike which did quite a number on my face. To make the story short, I lost control of my bike while ripping through the very choppy strait at a local track and went off the track. On the trackside was a large mound of dirt, which I hit, abruptly sending the front of my bike up, smashing the large handlbar pad into the chinguard of my helmet. The helmet did it's job, but forced the Answer goggles down on my face. This caused the very soft frame of the goggle to detach from the lens, and allow the lens to cut into my face. The lens went deep enough into my upper lip and gums to force one of my front teeth to completely leave the tooth socket. The damage boils down to a 1"+ cut on my nose/upper lip fixed by 4 stitches and a root canal to my front tooth. I believe this could have been avoided if the goggle frame was stiffer, keeping the polycarbonate lens in place. Luckily, I am in the military and my doctor bills are completely covered. Just a thought to keep in mind when shopping for a new set of goggles.
