I have a 2004 honda crf250r and i just jetted for 50 degree weather and lower with a 175 main jet, needle at 5th click. When i run the bike then shut it off and let it sit its starts to click. Its not to loud but its loud enough to scare me thinking something isnt good. Anyone know?

Well i have a 2004 honda crf250r. Bike handles like a charm but lacks a lil bit of power. I fixed that problem with a slip- on exhaust and a boyesen quick shot. The bike pulls with a 170 pound rider. If u want handling go with a Honda. If u want a lil bit more power, a Kawasaki will do. I have never ridden a 450f but i know that rip too but i hear they are heavy and feel big. Also whats ur weight and height? That will help a lot.
;) I know, just jestin', back to the problem then, if he still has the bike, I would say it's just a normal cooling down noise, probably from the exhaust pipe.
I'm wondering why the jetting changes in the first place??? The thumpers I've owned haven't needed any changes (gearing being the only exception) after the initial tune for the best performance.
Ok...now it makes sense. How stupid of us. We should have figured it out. In my area all the 15-16 year old kids have at least 3 of the same bike. Hell...I have 6 CR250's. You never know when you might need an extra. Thanks for clearing that up. Now your posts seem much more believable. :coocoo:
