Legalize?
Yes. Phillip Morris & RJ Reynolds should have some competition. Not just the competition that they get by buying food companies ie Kraft.

Make it illegal to use and operate vehicles like alchohol?
Yes.

Tax it?
Yes

The Josh- I smoked quite a bit in high school (no pun intended) and I just got tired of it. I quit. Addictive personalities will find something to soothe them no matter how much mothering is legislated.

Anyone who knows the effect pot (or any other kind of drug) has on the mind and body, and then goes out of their way to use it. I would not classify them in the catogory of Genius. That just wouldn't be fair. I myself would call them a Dopehead. But only the ones who use it to take the edge off, or whatever reason they come up with. And "The Josh", what are "standards/morals". What does your friend think these are. Sure, his weed thing could be a phase, almost everyones had some kind of phase like your buddy has. And most of us, do learn the hard way. To bad your buddy hasn't decided to grow up yet, and learn to be more productive, with his smoking time. Now a person can be smart, and sharp in buisness and smoke weed. I know. Because like I've said, I work with a guy who did, and was real sharp. But, his mind is TOTALLY gone now. And he's only in his mid 40's. But this could be a exception. So tell your friend for me, he got what was coming. And tell him I want mine supersized. Because I'm sure if he has no intentions of quitting weed. He'll be there for awhile

And Kraft is just a tax right off for PM. I would put my money on them wanting Kraft to loose money, with the lawsuites and all.

I feel it is important to tell you that he wasn't driving high, nor has he ever. He was pulled over for a dirty license plate(hard to believe, but extremely funny:confused:) anyway, what about booze? I'm sure everybody in here knows at least one alcoholic. It's okay to get drunk and act like a retard but getting high and minding your own business? nope can't have any of that! how many people that have replied to my thread drink? how many people that have replied to my thread have smoked weed at one time or another? I'm not being a smart a$$ I really would like to know. I would say 90% booze and 85% weed, any other guess's? maybe we could gamble, that would be fun:cool:  :debil:

The Josh - It does not matter what a person has done in their past, but their future directly depends on the choices they make TODAY!

You claim to be a poor kid trying to compete in a rich kid's sport. Well let me clue you in to reality here, you're not going to get rich smoking dope. If you ever get the chance visit a homeless shelter or a prison. I'll bet you that more than 90% of the people at either of those places has, or had, a substance abuse problem. I'll also bet you that 100% of those with a substance abuse problem thought they could handle it and were in control of their life.

Coincedence?

I think not!

Your question, I believe, was "should pot be legal?"

I have to say yes. I think people should be allowed to make that decision by themselves even with any harder drug. However, I also think that the punishment should be severe for anyone doing any harm to other while under the influence (and the same punishent applied to people who have consumed alcohol). I'm talking about hard labour, not sitting in a cell. Survival of the fittest.

I don't use any narcotics(I stop at Coca-Cola and tea) unless prescribed by a doctor.

i am adamantly opposed to all drugs. however, i'm not one to tell a person what they can or can't do. if someone wants to do it then they should have that choice. lots of people i go to school with do drugs or drink, but i'm not gonna go out and preach to them about it, that's their decision. i do not believe that any drugs should be legalized. if it were possible, alcohol and tobacco should be illegal but that'll never happen.

What was the name of that one guy Yammie 400? Or something like that. This guy is starting to remind me of him:confused: It does not matter what a person has done in their past, but their future directly depends on the choices they make TODAY! Well put Woods Rider. To bad this kid has no idea what that means.

i know a guy like that. he smokes every day. he is a very talented mechanic/technician but he can't apply for a good job because he can't pass a drug test. he's stuck for life in a fairly low paying job.
