When I pulled the gear case apart on my Kawi the factory used a gray gasket maker between the two halves.
I went to the autoparts store and bought the gray Permatex gasket maker. But on the back, in small print, it says it isn't recommended for applications where it comes into contact with gasoline.
So what the heck am I supposed to use? The gasket maker is supposed to be applied to the crankcase to seal the two halves.
