We are wondering what size AC unit we should get for our 16 x 7 trailer. Standard RV air conditioning/heat units seem to be 13,500 BTU or 15,000 BTU. Is this sufficient to keep our trailer cool . . . even when we have the rear doors open? :scream: What sizes have you guys run and how well did they work? Thanks for all of the help you have given us in this project. I will get pictures up as soon as we complete it!

The ambient temperature between the two are negligible . Go with the 13.5k unit because it draws less watts.

You will have to leave the A/C unit on for a couple hours to completely cool the trailer.

If you have to have the rear doors open, you can buy those plastic strips that hang down. This will cut down on air loss.
