Always an adventure buying a used bike...
1998 KDX200, clutch was acting a little funny so took off the cover to have a look. What I found was a clutch with six springs, seven plates, and with the number "KX125d-A201" cast into the pressure plate.
Obviously, not the right clutch for this bike. Judging from the bench grinder marks on the clutch push rod, someone installed it on purpose, and for reasons known only to them.
A search of every KX125 fiche from 1989 to 2005 shows they either had four or five springs depending on the year, so that rules them out.
I'm stumped. Anyone have any idea what I've got here?
