From what i've read and heard, the '93 cr's were the best handling with the '94-96's second best handling (the 2002 cr's are said to be on the '94-96's level as far as handling goes), but the '96's are supposed to be the best overall.

i heard that the 95-96 had the most power in fact i was reding in MX action that plano honda strippes all their cr125's down and runs the 95 cylander's on them when they run out of the 95's they use the 99's
W/O a doubt it is the 93 CR125. I have had CR for 10 years, and it was the best motor, but handeling is a diff story. I worked w/ Bill and Jeff Cervena from Bill's pipes over the years w/ engines and stuff, and they have yet to reproduce the motor from Doug Henry's 93. Bill's did team Honda's 125 support team for 93-96, and all of them were fast, but he has personally told me the 93 was the best motor. So, there it is!
I'm kind of glad to hear that the 93 CR 125 was a good bike, because I currently own one. It's not in the best of shape, but I'm working on it. Can anyone share any hot setup tips for this bike?
If I remember correctly, my set up was
170 main
needle in the middle
stock pilot
1 1/2 as
53 rear sprocket
I think if you get the 92 pv slider holders, it added mid. Call Bill's Pipes in Cali, they will give you the hot set up for that bike. They also have a jetting chart. Supercross.com has a link for they under "go anywhere in motorsports". Good luck, and BTW, great bike!
