Yes, Lou, but I don't want to buy another set of plastic. However those backgrounds are sweet. That's why I was wondering if you could put numbers on top of those...
Big Lou the flags look great! But... in the world of flag etiquette your side plate flags are reversed. The blue field should always be "into the wind" so-to-speak. Regardless, you should be commended for so proudly flying the colors. "Lets Roll!"
Dave-I know, but there are a couple problems with that. The front of the plates have a big vent in each one that would make it look pretty bad if the field was there, and if you look at them straight on from the side, they are almost pointing downward at a 45 degree angle. Not perfect, I know. But in this case I think it's the best available way. I was hoping that everyone would appreciate the patriotism!
CR-Nice, um, CR! Very cool. I looked at your picture a few weeks back when you posted it.
When a flag is displayed (i.e. on a wall, sticker, patch, etc.) as opposed to flying, the blue field should always be to the upper left corner (even when the flag is hung vertically).
So, according to etiquette, those flags are patriotically proper (huh? )
But, I agree that they would look cooler if the blue field were toward the front of the bike, but sometimes coolness loses out to propriety . . . :)

Exactly... and as they are in a "flying" position on the side panels, they should be in the upper left, rather they are a sticker or cloth. On the pic they are in the upper right. The number plate is correct, the side panels are not. Look at the tail of any military aircraft. When you face a flag that is affixed an horizonal position, the stars on on the left.
Ah Ha! Now I see what you're saying Okie! the left side is backwards. I guess they wanted to make them even. Must have something to do with those goofy KTM sidepanels!
You just gotta beat me over the head a couple times with it before I can see it.

It was great to see Lou, I thank you for the effort. I didn't mean my comment to be a slam or any such thing. As soon as I hit the 'submit' button I figured it was a precut decal and you had no choice anyway. My humble apologies:confused:
No offense taken, Dave. They are just so dang cool, I am trying to justify running them as they are! I know this is no excuse, but this is a very common mistake. Look at Dr. D's YZF in Billywho's vet race starting line picture. Same problem.
