This may be old news, but I just heard that Metzler tires are no longer available, since Pirelli bought the company.. I 've been running Metzlers for 30 years in the desert and am wondering what I am going to use if they are obsolete.. Any input on this?

Not sure what up with Metzler, I could swear that I just recently seen an ad in one of the Dirt Bike rags for them.

These "news" are really a little bit dusty, Zilla! :)
Metzeler became part of Pirelli in 1986!
They are still in business as an independent brand.

They often have late seson problmes meeting orders cause from what I understand they dont produce tieres all year, they just make what they make in a few months and then shut down the lines untill its time to make another run. Happens alot withe the street tires I get from them, but they are great tires. Online shops will usally have a few laying around somewhere though.
