I have had problems finding white side panels as well. Fredette only sells green along with most other sites. The one place I have found them is http://www.monkeybuttparts.com/ I'll be ordering new ones very soon because of a new riding season and my old ones are broken, i didnt think that green side panels with a green background number would look very good.

I got a white one from Fredette about a year ago. Just called him up told him what I wanted and got it. But that was about a year ago he may only have green ones now.
I would call them and see what they can do.

Dennis Kirk has both green and white side panels listed on their website; I believe they are made by UFO ($49 if memory serves). However, I just ordered a set of OEM side panels from Moto Sport Outlet (motosport.com) for less $$. Moto Sport has 10% off Honda and Kawasaki OEM parts until the end of Jan., free shipping if you make a $100 order.

Monkeybutt is $42.99 - good price; however, MotoSport is better, unless shipping is the difference the two side panels through MotoSport cost $32.86.

Item Description: COVER-SIDE,LH,S.WHITE
Item Number: 36001-1526-266
Quantity Ordered: 1
Price Each: $16.17

Item Description: COVER-SIDE,RH,S.WHITE
Item Number: 36001-1527-266
Quantity Ordered: 1
Price Each: $16.69

I don't work for MotoSport, just passing along info.

I don't see it either. The website shows UFO plastic. Both fenders and shrouds but no side panels.
However the paper catalog shows UFO white side panels for just about everything else sold in pairs for $41.99. I'm sure UFO makes the side panel. You may have to contact motosport and ask for them.

I agree...I don't see them at motosport for that price either. All I saw were the $50/per side OEM ones. Can you point us in the right direction? For $16 each, I will be buying today! Thanks!!!

Give this a try: Once you are on the motosport.com website go to the "off road" section. On the left side of your screen look for "OEM Parts" not the "Bike Parts" tab. Once you click on OEM Parts you will have the choice of Honda or Kawasaki, obviously Kawasaki is the place you want to be. Next select your trusty stead KDX200 or KDX220 and the year (I selected 2006). Once you are taken to the next screen you will see a drop down menu titled "Select a parts category," scroll down to "Side covers/Chain Cover" and you should see both the diagram of the side covers and the part numbers with the prices listed. I just double checked and the prices are still showing as on my previous comment. Good luck

aHa! You searched for a 2006 model. The rest of us have older ones and those are close to $50 each. Actually anything 2003 and up is the $16 you spoke of, will any of those years fit on my 02? Because that is a slamming deal right there.

Thanks for the clarification...that is a smokin' deal. I was pretty sure that the side panels are the same, but I went ahead and checked out part numbers.

2006
36001-1526-266 LH White
36001-1526-266 RH White

2000
36001-1526-6F LH White
36001-1526-6F RH White

I don't know what the difference is between "266" and "6F" but I think they are the same part. Can anyone clarify for sure?

Thanks!

Darn good question! I double-checked Ronayers and found that the pricing differential between the two side panels are similar (~$50 for '00 and ~$16 for the '06) to the Motoport prices. This is most puzzling. I can't see why KHI would change this part at this time in the model's history.

Has nobody with an older KDX fitted an '06 sidepanel yet? Anyone. . . anyone?

I'll answer my own question! The answer is "yes" they fit perfectly. Just bought a set and have already mounted them. Don't buy older OEM sidepanels at $50. Order the '06 part numbers and save!

The last two or three digits in those part numnbers indicate color. For example, 6W is lime green, I think. It may be polar white instead of white. Check around for color info.
