Press Release:
Yorba Linda, CA (4/2006) Racing tradition continues this weekend, April 22-23rd at the infamous Glen Helen Raceway for the 19th Annual White Brothers World 4-Stroke Championship.
With a Pro purse of $10,500, many of the top racers around the country will be there to collect their portion of the purse as well as test for the upcoming nationals. "This race serves as a great transition race from the SX series to the outdoors," comments Braden Dahl, WB's marketing guy. "It allows some of the teams to come out and get a head start on their outdoor settings while at the same time have the opportunity to walk away with a bunch of cash."
Not only will the racers get a chance to collect the purse, but they will get a small taste of the new track layout. Numerous changes were made this year including some elevation changes in the Canyon, incorporating Mt. Whitney and running a large portion of the REM track.
"White Brothers has been a leader in the 4-stroke movement since day one and this race is just a testimony to how far the industry has come," continues Braden. "The crowds get bigger every year, Lori Bryant (at Glen Helen) seems to be adding classes continuously and the track is always getting better. We look forward to a great weekend of racing and hope to see everyone out there."
The White Bros crew will be on hand displaying some of their new products and services as well as distributing their new spring catalog. Tom Morgan and his staff will also be there to represent the WB's engine division and provide information on all the motor packages that WB has to offer along with some tech tips.
Gates open at 6 am both days, practice starts at 7:30 while the first race goes off at 9:30 am. White Brothers would like to thank all the supporting sponsors, Glen Helen Raceway and most importantly the racers. For more information go to www.glenhelen.com
