Some of that video looks like Soboba the year it rained so hard. I got my CR250 stuck in the mud so bad it took four other riders and one very big Indian to pull it out. Totally smoked my clutch. There were so many smoking two smokes in the canyons you couldn't breathe much less see where you were going. :bang:
Giovanni Sala is a really cool dude. I had the good fortune to attend a WEC round in Northern Ontario, Canada a few years ago (I think it was 2008 or 2009). They had set up one special in a big sand pit and there was a pretty gnarly hill with exposed rock face that was giving the riders fits. Giovanni Sala was there spectating - this was in June or July - and he was in a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops. One guy got stuck half way up the hill and was obviously just spent. Giovanni was nearby and all of a sudden he jumped out from the crowd. He rolled the guy's bike back down the hill, hopped on, and rode it to the top in his flip flops. Of course everyone cheered like crazy.
