thanks all. i went to libbys yamaha here in c.t. they had both bikes in stock. the wr and the yzf. Here is what i thought. When i got on the YZF i thought the ergos were exellent and weight was no problem, and the guy even started it up for me, suprising but he did, and had no problem. the bike seemed to have exellent throttle response, for a 4 stroke, and he couldnt rev it to high b/c it was a new bike but the thing sounds awsome. As for the WR, i love the wide ratio tranny, as from what he was telling me, and says it is effortsless in the woods to ride, which i love. The ergos is where i had a problem though, coming off a 2-stroke i am used to sliding up on the seat alot pretty much on the gas tank. The Wr's gas tank is very bulbous like you said and it restricts me from moving up far enough for me to feel comfortable. I know there are gas tanks out there to fix this but after spending $6,000 on a bike i will not have an extra $300 to spend. He also started the wr up for me and the engine seemed pretty much the same as the YZF he just made sure to tell me to do the "Free mods" and ull be all set. As far as suspension i am on the light side 140 so i think the WR would be better for me in this category
Now which one am i going to choose. After all of this talk i went with the yz250f. I will be selling my yz125 very soon to put a deposit on a yz250f. I cant wait. Thanks for all your info guys.. :):)
