My 1988 XR 100, may need a valve adjustment. Could someone give me a quick run down on how it's done?
Also need the valve clearences' in inches. (thousandths)
And breaker point gap.
Thanks!

i had an 82 xr100 and manual but i sold it. i dont remember specific details on numbers but i do remember doing my valves. what you do is remove the valve cover and look at the rockerarms, you will see, right above the valves, on the rockerarms adjustable rod with a nut on the back. what you do is loosen the bolt and use a feeler guage and place it beetween the valve and the rocker arm and adjust the rod too sit somwhat firmly onto the feeler guage. again this is the general idea i highly recomend buying a manual of somesort because literally it can be your most important tool. i recomend clymer. i usually buy my manuals from themotorbookstore.com
