XR 50/ XR 70 Frames?

My son just broke the frame on his XR 70.

Does anyone here know the difference between a 70 frame and a 50 frame? There is not too much available for the 70, but the 50 stuff is plentiful.

I believe a stock 70 frame is longer then a stock 50 frame. Now with all the aftermarket swing arms etc. You could probably get the length back and certainly a stronger frame. I think other than the length, the frame is pretty darn close as far as wall thickness and the like.

I am pretty sure the motor and swing arm will bolt up but I dont Know about the tank and seat. Anybody have any Ideas?

you sure you can't get it repaired? We've had some terribly twisted and broken frames repaired. Then you can have it gusseted while your at it.
