Has anyone tried to fit a 90/100-16 on the rear of an XR100? It looks like there is at least 1/2 to 3/4" clearance on each side of the standard 3.00x16. Will the stock rim support the added width?

Trying to get a bit more width & a softer tread compound - my son is having fits trying to get through the sugary stuff at our local riding area, and the standard Bridgestone buries quickly.

No problem. We've been running either a 756 Dunlop or 737 on my nephews 01 XR 100. He has a pro circuit pipe but I think it will still clear the stock muffler too.

Agree on that. But try a standard size Dunlop 756. It sould be a much better tyre for those conditions than the stock Bridgestones.
