both "inner tubes" of my YZF (2002) fork have longitudinal ridges/scuffing which prevent proper sealing.... they are hard to spot, but the dealer won't guarantee the seal job...
can these "tubes" be made smooth enough to provide a good seal? and for less than $300 for a new inner tube?
Pokie. Service Honda has them for $218.00. If you have an industrial chrome plater in your area they may be able to hard chrome them and eliminate the scratches.
ERIC GORE's 2000 Performance Handbook recommends polishing the tubes using 400-grit wet/dry sanding paper.... I wonder if any one has experience with that? how do you know what's enough?
