Have 2005 YZ 125 and after running it really hard for a little while and I stop I really have to concentrate on keeping the revvs up or it will stall on me. Is this normal?
I am talking about after riding for a while really hard. Then stopping and putting the bike in neutral to talk with riding buddies, etc. We do a lot of trail and dirt road riding. Sunday we rode for a while on a track beside my house then went out and road some dirt farm roads. After drag racing a friend on a 2001 YZ125 we stopped to talk about the race and i had to keep blipping the throttle more than normal, or so it seemed. Or it would quit on me :think:FloGreen245 said:When you say you stop and have to keep the revs up, do you mean when you're idling and just sitting on the bike in neutral / with the clutch in?
Yamahas have keihinsFloGreen245 said:Your idle adjustment screw is probably adjusted wrong. Change it to make your bike idle a little bit higher. THat should help... you can find the instruction for that in the manual. Im not sure if the YZs have Keihins or Mikunis, so the screws are in different places depending on the carb.
