yz 490 clutch nut

I need a new nut for the gear that comes of the crank shaft. does anyone know where i can find one or preferably a cheaper replacement. Just need a nut that'll work. wanna finish this rebuild in time for this summer. Its my senior year of high school and be a ton of fun before college

alright thanks. looks like im spending 20 bucks then. I need two i guess so i can clean the threads up on the shaft. they kinda got messed up some how. thats how the original went when i tried to put it back on

Sounds like you should find the proper Die and fix the threads the right way, before you waste money on a nut.

Thanks guys. Found the die on ebay and ordered a nut. should be back together soon

I've cleaned up threads with a thread file before. They can work pretty good. I never used locktite in that location on any of my bikes, including my 490. Just make sure to use a good OE washer there and bend it up so the nut can't unscrew itself.

Well got that fixed, now i get the clutch bolt that sheared out. its just problem after problem
