YZ250F 03 Crankshaft in a 01 ??? Rich???

Rich, or or anyone else, have ya ever tried running a 03 crankshaft in a 01 using a 03 flywheel. Will it run, will the flywheel fit even with the 01 stator?

I would'nt fool around with this, but I got a great price on a new 03 crankshaft, and the companion flywheel is cheap. But I just don't know if the set up will work.

I Know with the KX250F the 05 flywheel will bolt on the 04, and even idle. but the bike just wont rev.
