Since KTM decided to drop the 200cc motor in favor of this 150cc, it is lacking a bit of power, specifically comparing it to the low end of the older 200cc bikes. My guess as to why they dropped the 200 was to reduce costs of having so many different motors. They can probably use almost all the same parts for the 125 and the 150, so it makes sense for them to “thin the herd” of motors and drop the 200. That could free them up to spend money other places.
No matter the reason they dropped the 200, we find ourselves now with this 150. In my riding, I’ve noticed that it would be a bit better if it had a little more power on the low RPMs, so I decided to try this RK Tek custom head insert in the bike.
