Hey guys, I was wondering if you know of any test reports of the 03 250 sx. I am having trouble making up my mind on which new 250 to get and I am wondering what people's thoughts are. I am coming off of a 2002 400 SX and before that I had a 2001 KX250.
Thanks

I have read the tests from dirt rider, dirt bike, and tw motocross. They all said it has the most power of any 250. They also said its the best suspension its ever had but still not as good as the japaneese bikes. It is as light as the honda now in weight. The only bad thing was alot of vibration complaints.

The last time I listened to my dad he said I should ride a four-stroke! I see a KX250 on the floor and a 450 SX, so I know what the 250 is going to look like but is it worth not riding the latest and greatest from team green?

Well, even the KX will absolutely kill the lame 400 SX in the power department. I'm not sure if it's the greatest idea to go from the mellowest 250 class bike (400 SX) to the most brutal one (250 SX), unless you're really looking for some extra hit.

The 03' 250 SX is claimed to have the most power in that class, that would include CRF450, YZF450, and all the 2stroke 250's. Some claim that one must be near expert level to ride the SX to its potential.

The forks are a bit harsh, but that is true with almost all the 03' KTM's and they can easily be dialed in.

That would all depend on how you prefer your ride. Some hard core moto guys may like the 03' fork just the way they are, others can gain plushness by simply reducing oil wt,.....yet others may want even more plushness for the woods, which can be had with about $25 worth of shims and a bit of knowledge.

Thx guyz ... I went to pick up my 200sx today only to find out there not out yet 8( I was planning on getting the 125sx but considering that im about to hit 25years old I figured a 200 would be the ultimate play and race bike in over 25.
The 200 I spotted in the corner of the shop while looking at the 125's was the enduro model ..... I was disapointed and will be till they hurry up and get here.

Yuo might want to give other dealers a call. I know that Letko Cycle( www.letko.com ) has one on their showroom floor, and they have even added the McGrath Bud Light graphics on the bike, but they can be replaced if not wanted. They are located in KC Metro.
