03 crf/230f no spark

just got bike they couldn`t find key so i hot wired it according to a hot wire diagram i got on interent battery is fully charged had spark for a minute and then nothing any ideas

Wired wrong or loose connection? Or maybe you damaged the regulator when you did this.
