04 Rumors

[380EXCman]

Waiting for an 04 is just killing me. Has anybody heard anything about the 04 bikes? Not just the orange ones either. What do the rest of the Euro Mfg's have up their sleeves?

Im hoping for a 540 SX with 12.7:1 compression, a cam with huge lift and a six speed tranny.......

An updated 380 would be the ultimate! Another cool bike would be a 350SX based on their new 250SX RFS with dual overhead cams....

Or about taking 1/2 of the new 950 DOHC motor and putting it on top of the 450 tranny?

OR
A 450exc that weighs 235 dry.

That's what I am talking about! Either of those bike will put me on an '04.

Otherwise new top end on the 400 and another year.

Dealers meeting is not until August - Darn!

I like the idea of a 235 lbs 300EXC RFS. I love my 450EXC but could do with less power if it was lighter.

I doubt we will see any major changes for 04, other than durability updates.

How about an SX with decent suspension and a seat that's tolerable instead of a cinderblock. Aftermarket suspension guys seem to be able to get WP stuff setup much better than KTM has ever came close to.

Another Berg may be in my future. It really depends on what KTM does and what they do with Husaberg. Right now the future looks bright for Husaberg and it sounds like their 04's are going to be awsome.......

Our local KTM dealer had an 85SX already. So the 85 is already here. As for a 380EXC RFS. I doubt it would happen. Unless its in the new chassis with the new 2 cam motor. No way its gonna happen with the 450/525 engine configuration...... Now I hear the 540 SX seems to be a legit deal..... Now it just needs a 6 speed.....

I took a (very) short ride on a 350 RFS today (a pumped up 250). If the 380 is anything like that bike, it'll be awesome!

As for the 4 strokes its just miner updates.The biggest changes are to be in the 250 & 300 mxc & exc.It will be based on the sx motor along with the frame & alot of the 250 sx influence.
