06 CRF head

I have a 03 CRF 450 with a head that needs to be replaced. I found a new head for cheap but it's an 06. I was wondering if the 06 head would bolt on to my 03 without any problems such as valves hitting the piston because the angle has changed or the head not even coming close to fitting. Any help would be great thanks. :cool:

yeah it will fit fine. The valve seat material is improved on the 06 head from previous years.

I assume you are installing a new piston and rings at the same time, correct?

Do I have to replace the piston? I was just going to replace the rings.
