Anyone ever have a 133/144cc done? Considering it for the Vet class but don't know if it is worth it or not. I rode a very sweet 520, but as of 03, it will be only legal for the Vet and not able to run in the 250cc. I figure maybe if I can get a 125 pumped up w/ a 133/144cc, I can run it in the the Vet and regular class at least. I know w/ the 144 it would be illegal in the 125, so maybe just the 133? What do you guys think? Would a 144 kit make a lot of power? I would also do pipe/silncer, v-force, etc,,,man the 520 was sweet

A KTM144 will make alot of power-about 38hp which is almost as much as a slow 250.I wonder if eric can now stroke it as well to make a 165?

Are you sure??? I thought that was why they were making the 450F b/c of the new rules for displacement. So what you are saying is, I can ride a 520 in the 200cc, Vet, and open in NESC,NEMX??? :silly:

I do not know about NEMX but NESC does not use the AMA rules. You can run and displacement over 200 cc (2 or 4 stroke) in the 200+ class. That is why they call it 200+ and not 250 class. I used to ride a KTM 380 2 stroke in that class.

JMan you can still run the 520 next year anywhere but the pros (and Arenacrosses which have a limit of 502cc).. most places run a 250/Open class or a 200+... i run my 380SX in the 250 class in NEMX with no issues..

I have had Eric Gorr do a 144 kit on my 125 SX and that thing flies. At first I had a SST pipe on it, then I put the stock one back on and that gave it more power I thought. I also have a Pro-Action Carb. Mod and that helped bottom end and I was told that it gives it about 2 horse-power on the bottom while only taking away about 500 rpm's on top.
