A question for all the carb guys. My bike is extremely difficult or sometimes impossible to start cold. The bowl overflows on the ground and the bike refuses to start. If I change the plug it starts on the first kick. Once it is started for the first time it will continue to start first kick everytime until left overnight to cool down. Last weekend I had my float adjusted to the factory setting, it was 3mm off. Re-assembled the bike and same problem with the bowl overflowing. I am guessing that it is the needle seat that needs to be replaced but I have not looked at it yet. However, if I filled the bowl and then shut the fuel off at the petcock, this should take the float and needle seat out of the equation right?? So if the bike is still not starting, I am guessing that I might have some carb issues aside from the float/needle issue. Any help would be appreciated as changing spark plugs for every cold start is getting really old, and expensive.

Thanks :whiner:
