:thumb: Thanks Rich, This is exactly the stuff I am referencing. I agree completely with the load and time factors as well. To each his own.
I would rather trust the knowledgable in the field, that have spent the time doing the research and spending the bucks in the process, than listening to
" I run at 50:1 and change my piston every third race."
 Makes me wonder why they have to change their piston so often.

The thought of extra oil providing better ring seal crossed my mind. Cool to know someone performed such a test w/ consistant air/fuel ratios.

re: MCulloch published a paper years ago showing the horsepower gains that can come from improved sealing when additional oil was added to two-stroke fuel..

I read that.

As I recall, they continued to make more power with more oil until they got to the point they just couldn't get their engines to run (fire) anymore.

Thanks Rethnal,

It's been a long time since I've recieved a commendation for anything!

1. Golden Spectro recommends 52:1 for average riding, should I add a little more oil to the gas?

2. My bikes jetting is right on now, plug is tan. If I add more oil to gas it will run leaner and I'll have to re-jet right? It sounds like maybe it's worth it?
