Hi Guys-

I just picked up a killer 1991 YZ-125 for $300. I wanted something old that I could thrash on and it would still be cheap to fix. The bike is nearly immaculate. Powder coated royal blue frame.. Pro Circuit pipe and silencer and a bunch of other goodies.. and it was stored properly.

Supposedly it had a new top end right before being parked, but I found a blown lower head gasket.. flat spot in the ring, and my favorite, a pressed pin missing from the powervalve assembly.. It looks like they forgot to put the pin back in and it couldnt just fall out and end up in the bottom end..

So enough of my rambling.. I'm trying to troubleshoot an electrical problem.

Question:

Would anybody happen to know the output specs for a 1991 YZ125 stator?

Any help or a general reference would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

the charge coil, brown wire to black should be 455-556 resistance (ohms)

and the pick up coil, white/green wire to white/red wire should be 4.5-5.5 resistance(ohms)

for the ignition coil the primary resistance, 0.26-0.36
secondary resistance, 3.5-4.7k
