98 yz400f. fuel wont stop coming out

Unless i shut the fuel off. It keeps leaking out the tube on the bottom of the carb. Im thinkin the needle isnt seating or the float is broke but ive had it apart several times and cant see anything wrong. Is there something else to look at?

Did you test the float?

Did you check the needle to see if the rubber tip is worn?

Did you verify that there was no dirt on the needle seat?

Did you verify the float height?

yea its the needle. i took the bottom cover off and pushed the float up and then turned the fuel on . it was leaking past the needle. ive taken it all apart and it doesnt appear to have anything wrong with it. new one is 70!!!
